Mission Statement
At TecEco we believe that the key to an environmentally sustainable future lies in developing profitable technologies that eliminate or even reverse resource flows that result in damaging underlying moleconomic flows.
TecEco aim to demonstrate that sustainability is achievable as an economic process involving new technical paradigms. We believe that the key lies in developing technologies that mimic nature and result in less overall impact. Nature teaches us that to survive sustainably we must convert our wastes including carbon dioxide to resources. Given the flows involved the logical target is to create building materials with them.To solve global warming, waste, water, energy and other problems we have developed a new system of calcium- magnesium based binders and a kiln for making them without releases and that runs on non fossil fuels.
Our formulations are universally applicable and holistically designed involving the entire mix. We are not selling something in a bag. What we are selling is a strategy that is also a solution to the biggest problems facing the planet. Our lead product, Eco-Cement sets by absorbing CO2 and can, if everybody uses it and builds with carbonate and wastes, solve the global warming and waste problem.
As Fred Pearce reported in New Scientist Magazine, “There is a way to make our city streets as green as the Amazon rainforest. Almost every aspect of the built environment, from bridges to factories to tower blocks, and from roads to sea walls, could be turned into structures that soak up carbon dioxide - the main greenhouse gas behind global warming. All we need to do is change the way we make cement”[1].
Our strategies for our cements are best described by software and we have been working towards developing a program to scientifically batch our formulations.
A wholly own subsidiary TecSoft Pty. Ltd. has been formed for this purpose.
Our business will therefore comprise:
- Selling software
- Developing and licensing technology
- Manufacturing and selling Tec-Kilns
- Making and selling TecEco cements or cement components.
- Consulting
The way forward will be through developing niche markets, doing what we know we do well and attracting the larger companies to do the same to add economies of scale and momentum to the solution. With the advent of carbon trading we can provide economic incentive for these larger companies to do the right thing.
